watchOS 26.0.1 update for Apple Watch Ultra 3 is rolling out, and you can download it right now. Here’s what is new for Ultra 3 users.
watchOS 26.0.1 Available for Download on Apple Watch Ultra 3 Models with Support for Messages and Find My via Satellite
Apple released the full and final version of watchOS 26 on Monday. It includes the all-new Liquid Glass UI, new Sleep Score feature, and a lot more.
However, if you bought yourself an Apple Watch Ultra 3 just recently, there’s a newer version of the update available, and that is watchOS 26.0.1.
The update is primarily for users living in Mexico since it enables Messages and Find My via satellite. Two crucial and lifesaving features.
If you own any other version of the Apple Watch, you won’t see this update at all. It is only available for Apple Watch Ultra 3 users.
In order to download the new update, make sure you go to Settings > General > Software Update on your Apple Watch, and you’ll see watchOS 26.0.1 there.
You can also use the Watch app on your iPhone to initiate the download. Just launch Watch, then go to General > Software Update.
You will be required to place your Apple Watch on its charger in order to complete the installation. It’s a strict requirement and one which you cannot bypass.
