When you look at the entire new iPhone lineup, I’m sure you can instantly tell which is the lightest and which is the heaviest from the bunch.
But, if you still want cold and hard numbers, maybe for research purposes, then here’s a quick weight comparison between the iPhone Air, iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max.
- iPhone Air – 165 grams (5.82 ounces)
- iPhone 17 – 177 grams (6.24 ounces)
- iPhone 17 Pro – 206 grams (7.27 ounces)
- iPhone 17 Pro Max – 233 grams (8.22 ounces)
Time to add the iPhones models which Apple is selling alongside the new ones:

The thing that’s truly astonishing here is how light the iPhone Air is. Even compared to iPhone 16e, which is a phone with a 6.1-inch display and made from aluminum, the Air is several grams lighter.
