The new HomePod Software 26 developer beta 8 is now available for download over the air.

Though not feature-packed compared to other software Apple is letting people test, HomePod Software 26 is still an important part of the ecosystem.
If you’ve been testing out developer beta 7, then this is what you have to do in order to download beta 8:
- Launch the Home app on your iPhone, iPad, or Mac.
- Open the ‘three dots’ menu icon on the top right.
- Open Home Settings.
- Find Software Update and open it.
- You’ll see the new HomePod Software 26 beta 8 here. Just install it immediately.
HomePod Software 26 is available to test out as a developer beta and a public beta. It’s entirely up to you which one you want to download.
