A new report says that Apple is going to launch the AirPods Pro 3 later this year with heart rate monitoring built in.

Apple’s AirPods Pro 3 Earbuds will Have Built in Heart Rate Monitoring Sensors

Apple already ships a pair of earbuds with heart rate monitoring built in. Those earbuds are the Powerbeats Pro 2.

In the AirPods lineup, there’s nothing similar at all. But Mark Gurman from Bloomberg says Apple is going to change all of that this fall.

According to Mark, Apple is working on a pair of AirPods that will include heart rate monitoring, which means you will be able to track your workouts and heart rate even if you don’t have an Apple Watch around your wrist.

The news isn’t actually new at all, but hearing it again reassures us that the feature is definitely coming to the AirPods lineup.

While this news is well and good, it remains to be seen if this implementation is different from Powerbeats Pro 2. Because you can’t take a heart rate reading and listen to music at the same time.

Maybe Apple has figured this ‘problem’ out for AirPods Pro 3, hopefully.
