New iOS 26 and iPadOS 26 beta 6 is out for iPhone and iPad, and here’s everything that has changed and is new in the updates.

iOS and iPadOS 26 Developer Beta 6 Includes New Ringtones and Features a Change to Liquid Glass

It took Apple a week to go from developer beta 5 to developer beta 6. During that time, it made some changes to its software for iPhone and iPad.

There are two major changes in iOS 26 and iPadOS 26 developer beta 6. While they aren’t obvious unless I tell you about them, but they will have a huge impact on users going forward.

Liquid Glass Updates

Before you panic, just relax. The changes to Liquid Glass this time around make perfect sense. The change is only visible on the Lock Screen, nowhere else.

What Apple has done is, make the Lock Screen clock more transparent than before. Basically, more Liquid Glass, something a lot of you will appreciate.

This allows the clock to show more of the wallpaper than before, a change many Liquid Glass fans will like. But do keep in mind that this may reduce the readability of the clock.

New Ringtones

iOS 26 beta 2 came with a new ringtone. But beta 6 takes a huge leap forward by adding six new variations of the Reflection ringtone called Buoyant, Dreamer, Tech, Pop, Reflected, and Surge.

Epic Stability Improvements

After going through social media, a lot of users are reporting that the new developer beta 6 is extremely snappy and responsive. That’s a great thing, given that the final update is set for next month.
