Apple has released beta 5 of the HomePod Software Update 26, and you can download it right now on your HomePod and HomePod mini.

New HomePod 26 Beta 5 Software Update Now Available for Download with Bug Fixes and Other Improvements

Unlike other updates from Apple, the HomePod Software Update 26 is very subtle and mostly focuses on bug fixes and other small enhancements for HomePod and HomePod mini.

Today, Apple has released beta 5 of the HomePod 2.6 update, and you can download it right away using the Home app on your iPhone, iPad, or Mac.

In order to do that, just launch the Home app, tap on the ‘three dots’ menu icon at the top, scroll down to Software Update, and install the available updates from here.

Want to test out the software on your HomePod? You can either download the developer beta or the public beta. I will suggest the latter since it’s easier to sign up for.

Given there isn’t anything new for HomePod this year, I wouldn’t recommend installing the update at all. Just keep things nice, simple, and risk-free on the HomePod end at least.
