Still wondering where the new and advanced Siri went? Apple CEO Tim Cook has revealed that his company is making good progress on it.
Apple CEO Tim Cook Gives Update on Apple Intelligence-Powered Siri, Says his Company is ‘Making Good Progress’
A lot of people didn’t take the news about the delayed Siri features lightly. Some even went ahead and sued the company over it. Clearly, it made a lot of people upset.
Apple even talked about the new and advanced Siri in its WWDC 2025 keynote and said they’re making progress on it, and will have more to share about it next year.
Today, right after posting its Q3 2025 numbers, Apple CEO Tim Cook talked about the new Siri in an interview with Reuters, and said that his company is making good progress on it.
That’s as far as he went, and didn’t share more, and he doesn’t have to. All that matters is that the company is making progress on it, that’s all.
There’s no word whether or not Apple is going to use its in-house models to power the new Siri, or tap into third-party services for it. Recently, a report did talk about the possibility of Apple partnering with OpenAI or Anthropic for the new Siri.
Given the amount of time Apple has taken, I have this feeling the end product is going to be worth the wait.
