Yes, this is real. Skechers, the shoe company we all know about, is selling a lineup of shoes with dedicated space for putting an AirTag.

Skechers Launches New Lineup of Shoes with Find My Support and Dedicated Compartment for an Apple AirTag

The timing of this news is epic.

Just a while ago, someone showed me a photo of an AirTag holder, which can be placed on a pair of Crocs or sandals, allowing you to track the movement of your child using Find My.

Fast forward to Wednesday, and we have Skechers with a shoe that has a built-in compartment for an AirTag. And that compartment is hidden away under the sole in such a way that your kid will never know if there’s an AirTag there.

While this is definitely a genius idea, but I am curious to know how well this shoe will hold up in the real world, especially if your kid is into sports.

The official video from Skechers however, sounds promising:

The shoe starts at $52, and is available in a variety of styles and sizes. If you’re interested in picking one up, you can head over to this link.

If the $52 price is throwing you off, I guarantee someone is going to make a cheaper version of the shoes with same features in a number of days.
