You can now download and install the full and final version of the iOS 18.6 and iPadOS 18.6 updates for iPhone and iPad devices.

Apple Releases Final Version of iOS 18.6 and iPadOS 18.6 with Bug Fixes and Security Updates – Download it Right Away

Apple released the RC version of iOS 18.6 and iPadOS 18.6 to developers and public beta testers just a while ago. If you’ve already installed the update, then there’s nothing here that will get you excited.

But, if you’ve been seeing iOS 18.6 and iPadOS 18.6 in the news for a while, you’ll be pleased to learn that you can now download it on your iPhone and iPad right away.

Before you do that, you should know that this is a bug-fix only release, and does not bring new features to iPhone and iPad at all. I’ve talked about this before, and you’ll find all the details by going to this link.

If you want to download the update right now, here’s what you have to do on your iPhone or iPad:

  • Make sure you’re connected to a Wi-Fi network (Settings > Wi-Fi).
  • Now go to Settings > General > Software Update.
  • Once the page has loaded up, you’ll see the 18.6 update, tap on Update Now at the bottom.

The iOS 18.6 and iPadOS 18.6 carry a build number of 22G86.

The update will first download onto your device and then installed. I will recommend keeping your device plugged into a power outlet when this is all happening.

You do have the option to clean install the update as well, and I’ve done a very simple tutorial which you will find here.
