Apple now officially has a Threads account, a social media platform owned by Meta. The account currently has 4.8 million followers.

A lot of people already know how much presence Apple has on social media. The company has very active Instagram and TikTok accounts, and on the other hand, an empty X account.
Apple uses X mostly for advertising, hence the timeline remains completely empty even to this day. But thanks to the magic of advertising, a post shows up in people’s timeline but not on Apple’s X profile.
With the official Threads account now live, it remains to be seen if Apple will actively utilize this account, keep it dormant, or use it for advertising.
While the account currently has 4.8 million followers, do keep one thing in mind: those followers are actually from Instagram, which is reflected on the Threads profile.
