Apple has released the first public beta of iOS 18.6 and iPadOS 18.6 for iPhone and iPad. You can download and install it right away.
iOS 18.6 and iPadOS 18.6 Public Beta Now Available to Download for All iPhone and iPad Users
The first developer beta of iOS 18.6 and iPadOS 18.6 was released earlier this week. Just a couple of days later, Apple has released the first public beta of the same software update.
As ever, public beta software is absolutely free to download and install. In order to do that, you must sign up with your Apple Account on this link: beta.apple.com
Once this is done, you have to enable iOS 18 and iPadOS 18 public beta updates on your iPhone and iPad. You can do this by going to Settings > General > Software Update > Beta Updates and select iOS 18 / iPadOS 18 Public Beta from here.
As soon as you do this, you can now download iOS 18.6 or iPadOS 18.6 public beta 1 on your iPhone and iPad from Settings > General > Software Update.
When it comes to features, there’s nothing new in iOS 18.6 and iPadOS 18.6 at all. It’s clear that Apple is focusing on making the iPhone and iPad as stable as possible before it unleashes iOS 26 and iPadOS 26 for everyone later this year.
