Looking for a quick and easy way to level up your typing skills on the iPhone keyboard? Here’s a game-changing tip.

A Simple iPhone Keyboard Shortcut Makes Entering Symbols Way Easier and Saves a Ton of Time

If you’re typing a string of text and want to enter a number, or maybe just add a comma, you have to tap on the ‘123’ button on the keyboard, enter what you like and then tap on ‘ABC’ to go back.

Sure, that works well for most people, but it’s not exactly efficient if you just want to add one number or symbol.

There’s a Better Way…

Rather than just press the ‘123’ button, just tap and hold it until you see the symbols. Now drag your finger to the number or symbol you want to enter and let go. You will be automatically taken back to the ‘ABC’ alphabet keyboard.

It Gets Even Better

If you have a lot of numbers to type and want to add special symbols like the percentage sign or maybe even a bracket, the shortcut works for that too.

First of all, switch to the number keyboard by tapping on the ‘123’ button once. Type all the numbers you want, and now tap and hold on the ‘#+=’ button, find the symbol you want to enter and let go. You’ll be back on the ‘123’ number keyboard.

If you’re using this shortcut for the first time, I’m sure you’ll find it game-changing, especially when you find yourself jumping between different keyboard pages for something so small, like entering a comma.
