The M6-powered iMac will likely be released at the end of this year in new color options, according to a new report.
Apple to Likely Launch the New iMac with M6 Chip and New Color Options in October of this Year
As someone who is a huge fan of the Apple silicon-powered iMac, the news from Bloomberg that a new model is on the way is exciting news for me, and for you too, of course.
To be honest, the report doesn’t offer too much in terms of details. But Mark Gurman, the author of the report, says that all signs point towards the inevitable launch of the new iMac.
There are going to be new color options as well, and the report does not touch upon what colors can be expected either. And I’m glad there isn’t any detail on this, because we all love a colorful surprise.
The M4 iMac launched in October of 2024, so if we keep that launch window in mind, then it’s safe to assume that we should see the M6-powered iMac during the same month this year as well.
Though details are sparse, but one thing’s definitely happening; an increase in price, all thanks to those AI slop data centers buying every piece of memory hardware they can find on earth. After all, Apple did bump up the price of the current iMac as well, along with other hardware.
