A new report sheds light on the upcoming macOS 27 update, and says that it will improve Liquid Glass on Apple’s desktop platform.

macOS 27 Will Fix and Refine Liquid Glass Design Which is Apparently Unfinished in macOS 26 Tahoe

The report published by Bloomberg says that Liquid Glass used in macOS 26 Tahoe is not what Apple intended and is largely unfinished. macOS 27, on the other hand, will add refinements to the operating system that bring Liquid Glass to a level originally intended.

A lot of users have been complaining about readability related issues in macOS 26 Tahoe, so I’m assuming macOS 27 is going to fix those issues as well.

Older reports have suggested that Apple’s upcoming desktop operating system will include a Siri chatbot app as well, which seems likely at this point, given how popular these apps have become among average users.

Another bit of information we already know is related to AirPort Time Capsule backups. With macOS 27, Apple is dropping support for it, which means now will be a good time to invest in a newer router and let that AirPort relic go.

When it comes to features, macOS 27 will probably won’t impress at all. But that’s not a bad thing, because Apple is rumored to focus on stability improvements across the board, much like Snow Leopard. If that’s the case, I’m all up for it.

Apple is going to announce macOS 27 at WWDC26 next month. Along with that, Apple is going to announce iOS 27, iPadOS 27, watchOS 27, tvOS 27, and of course, visionOS 27.
