Apple is set to launch the iPhone Fold this year, but one leaker suggests that it may be called the ‘iPhone Ultra’ instead.
Apple’s First Folding iPhone May be Called the ‘iPhone Ultra’, According to Leaker
Every year we come this close to the iPhone Ultra, and we’re always left with the ‘Pro Max’ instead. However, leaker Digital Chat Station on Weibo says that Apple’s upcoming foldable may just use that name.
Currently, the rumor mill is going by the name ‘iPhone Fold.’ And if this latest information is anything to go by, then the upcoming folding iPhone may end up being called ‘iPhone Ultra.’
So far, there’s only one ‘Ultra’ product in Apple’s portfolio, and that’s the Apple Watch Ultra. The only thing that makes it different is the rugged design, a bigger battery, a bright screen, you get the point.
Compare the Apple Watch Ultra to the regular Apple Watch; you don’t get anything extra, really.
With the upcoming folding iPhone, I’m not sure if that name will do any justice to it whatsoever. Because it will have one less camera, a thinner battery, probably no Face ID, and so on.
Only time will tell if this is a rumor or something that we will actually work with.
