Here’s how you can downgrade iOS 26.4 and iPadOS 26.4 on iPhone and iPad to iOS 26.3.1 and iPadOS 26.3.1 right now.

Apple Still Signing iOS 26.3.1 and iPadOS 26.3.1, Downgrade from iOS 26.4 and iPadOS 26.4 Still Possible

Apple is still signing the iOS 26.3.1 and iPadOS 26.3.1 firmware for iPhone and iPad, allowing users to downgrade from the newly released iOS 26.4 and iPadOS 26.4 software updates.

It’s a simple case of connecting your iPhone and iPad to your Mac, supplying the older 26.3.1 firmware file, and clicking on the Restore button. However, before you do that, make sure you have taken a backup of everything using iCloud or Finder.

With that out of the way, download the iOS 26.3.1 or iPadOS 26.3.1 firmware file (or files) from the links below and save it to your desktop.

Now follow these steps in order to downgrade from iOS 26.4 and iPadOS 26.4:

Step 1. Connect your iPhone or iPad to your Mac using a Lightning or USB-C cable.

Step 2. Launch Finder, and then click on your device on the left.

Step 3. You’ll either see a Restore iPhone or Restore iPad button. Hold down the left Option key on the keyboard and click on either button. You’ll now see a pop-up window.

Step 4. Simply double-click on the iOS 26.3.1 or iPadOS 26.3.1 firmware file you downloaded and let Finder restore your device.

When everything is complete, you can either set up your device as new, or just restore from a backup you took earlier.
