The 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro with M5 Pro and M5 Max are now official. Here’s how much the maxed out model costs.

Apple’s Maxed Out 16-inch MacBook Pro with M5 Max Chip Will Cost You More than $7,000

In terms of performance, it doesn’t get better than the newly announced MacBook Pro lineup. However, if you want the best of what Apple has to offer, then you should be ready to shell out some money. Lots of it, in fact.

If you’re planning to go all out with your purchase, then you should be ready to spend exactly $7,349 on hardware alone. What does that price get you? Glad you asked, because it makes up for a fun read:

  • 16-inch MacBook Pro
  • Nano-texture display
  • M5 Max (18-core CPU, 40-core GPU)
  • 128GB RAM
  • 8TB SSD
  • 140W USB-C charger
  • No Final Cut Pro or Logic Pro license

While those specs are definitely great, but an average user can easily get by with the base processor, RAM, and storage options. In fact, Apple has bumped up the price of the MacBook Pro to $2,199, but with that, you get double the storage – 1TB standard.

The above upgrades do not include the Final Cut Pro and Logic Pro licenses. Given Creator Studio now exists, I don’t see the reason why anyone should spend more than $299 on a single license.

If you’re still curious to know how much it costs after including the software licenses, then the grand total comes up to $7,848.98.
