You Can Now Download and Install iOS 26.4, iPadOS 26.4, macOS 26.4 Tahoe, and More RC Updates on Your Devices

Apple released developer beta 4 and public beta 3 of its upcoming updates a while ago. Given so many beta updates have been made available for download, it only makes sense that the company would release the RC update soon.

Today, the release candidate build is available for everyone who has been testing the developer or public betas. And, I’ll show you how anyone can download the updates on their devices immediately, except for visionOS 26.4.

Sign up to the Public Beta

First and foremost, sign up to the public beta program from Apple by going to the following link: beta.apple.com

Once here, simply sign up using the Apple Account you’re currently using on your iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, and Apple TV. Move to the next step for further instructions.

Download and Install iOS 26.4 and iPadOS 26.4 RC

Step 1. On your iPhone and iPad, go to Settings > General > Software Update > Beta Updates. Select either iOS 26 or iPadOS 26 Public Beta from here.

Step 2. Now go to Settings > General > Software Update and tap on Install Now the moment you see the 26.4 RC update.

iOS 26.4 and iPadOS 26.4 RC has the following build number: 23E244

Download and Install macOS 26.4 Tahoe RC

Step 1. Launch System Settings, then go to General > Software Update > Beta Updates. Now select macOS 26 Tahoe Public Beta.

Step 2. Go to System Settings > General > Software Update. Wait for the page to refresh, and then click on the Update Now button next to the 26.4 RC.

macOS 26.4 Tahoe RC has the following build number: 25E243

Download watchOS 26.4 RC

Step 1. Launch the Watch app on your iPhone, then go to General > Software Update > Beta Updates. Select watchOS 26 Public Beta from here.

Step 2. Simply go to Watch > General > Software Update on your iPhone, and then tap on the Download and Install button once you see the update.

watchOS 26.4 RC has the following build number: 23T239

Download tvOS 26.4 RC

Step 1. On your Apple TV, go to Settings > System > Software Updates > Get Beta Updates. Select tvOS 26 Public Beta.

Step 2. In order to download the tvOS 26.4 RC, go to Settings > System > Software Updates > Update Software.

tvOS 26.4 RC has the following build number: 23L240

visionOS 26.4 RC for Vision Pro

Since visionOS 26.4 isn’t available for public beta testing, you cannot download it immediately. If you’re willing to sign up for the Apple Developer Program for it, then go right ahead.

But of course, if you’ve been already testing the visionOS 26.4 developer beta, then you can download the RC by going to Settings > General > Software Update.
