The latest report surrounding iPhone 17e is interesting, and it says it will include four important upgrades, with MagSafe being one of them.

Apple iPhone 17e is Going to be a Huge Upgrade Over the iPhone 16e with Features Like A19, N1, C1X, and MagSafe

Details regarding the iPhone 17e haven’t been that exciting so far until Mark Gurman chimed in with his PowerOn newsletter today.

According to Gurman, there are four important upgrades coming to the iPhone 17e. The first one is pretty obvious, and it’s the A19 chip that can be found in the standard iPhone 17 model. It’s a fast chip that will definitely help with a lot of things, including Apple Intelligence and the advanced version of Siri.

Secondly, the device is said to feature Apple’s C1X modem, the same one that made its debut in the iPhone Air, then iPad Pro M5 afterwards. In other words, you can expect efficiency and superior battery life while connected to a cellular network.

Next up is the N1 wireless chip. This is the chip that can be found in the entire latest iPhone lineup. Users will be able to enjoy Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6, and more with improved performance for things like AirDrop, Personal Hotspot, etc.

Last but not least, and my favorite, is the inclusion of MagSafe on the iPhone 17e. This means you can stick a Qi2 or Qi2.2 charger behind the iPhone and it will actually stay in place. No case or magnetic stickers needed.

One thing’s clear: the iPhone 17e is going to take the direction of the standard iPhone 17 model. Apple is making sure that it is a go-to option at a lower price point, and the report says Apple is going to stick with the $599 price this year as well.

Gurman says that the launch of Apple’s low-priced is imminent. So we can expect it to arrive within the next couple of months.
