The new beta of WhatsApp for iPhone, available for TestFlight users only, includes an Apple Watch app as well.
WhatsApp for iPhone Beta Includes a New Apple Watch App for TestFlight Users
The early days of Apple Watch were way more fun compared to 2025. The reason for that is, everyone jumped onboard and made a nifty little app for it.
Believe it or not, even Instagram had an Apple Watch app before it was eventually pulled and abandoned completely.
Today, WhatsApp has jumped on the Apple Watch bandwagon by releasing a new beta of the app for iPhone users through TestFlight. This means users will be able to send and receive text messages and have full conversations with their friends and family members right from their wrist.
Sending and receiving voice messages is also supported in the app, something a lot of WhatsApp users love doing these days.
My only gripe with the whole thing is how WhatsApp is a complete mess on iPhone and iPad in certain places. There are instances where UI elements will just disappear or scroll randomly on their own. Rather than fix those issues first, sure, let’s go ahead and do an Apple Watch app first.
Even to this minute the Liquid Glass interface for WhatsApp hasn’t been rolled out for users.
