Siri Development is on Track and Will be Released Next Year, Says Apple CEO Tim Cook

Apple is hard at working revamping Siri, a version of it which was promised alongside the initial announcement of Apple Intelligence.

However, Tim Cook has been giving updates on its progress, with the latest one from him not too long ago alongside Q3 2025 results.

Today, Apple posted strong Q4 2025 numbers, and alongside it, Tim Cook in an interview to CNBC, has confirmed that his company is on track to launch the new Siri next year, in 2026.

Apart from that, he also revealed that his company is working on more partnerships to improve Apple Intelligence. If I’m to take a guess, Google Gemini is going to be offered as a choice alongside OpenAI ChatGPT.

I know that isn’t too much to go along with, but if the CEO is involved this much with a virtual assistant, it seems like there’s definitely something happening in the background.

If recent reports are anything to go by, it seems like the new Siri is going to be a part of the iOS 26.4 update. We can expect it to arrive on iPad with iPadOS 26.4 and on the Mac with macOS 26.4 Tahoe.

But, will Apple make a big deal out of it and give it a proper announcement, or will it just arrive out of thin air as a software update? Given the amount of work and sweat that has gone into this already, and the number of people leaving Apple for Meta, this must mean something.
