No more speculation as Apple has announced the official macOS 26 Tahoe release date for the Mac, and it’s coming next week.

Official Release Date of macOS 26 Tahoe Update Set for 15th of September, Release Candidate Available Today

On the 15th of September, everyone will be able to download the full and final version of macOS 26 Tahoe on their compatible Mac.

Today, Apple has released the final version of the update for developers and public beta testers in the form of a Release Candidate update. If no issues are found in this update, it will be released as is to everyone next week.

There is a chance Apple may release a revised version of macOS 26 next week. Therefore, I will recommend staying away from it and just wait until it is available for everyone on the 15th.

I know it’s very tempting to try out the software update right now, but let Apple polish it completely before it’s released next week. It will be totally worth it by then.
