Vision Pro users, go ahead and download the new visionOS 2.6 update now with bug fixes and security patches.
visionOS 2.6 Now Available for Download with Bug Fixes and Other Improvements for Vision Pro Headset
The VisionOS software is surprisingly solid to this day. With visionOS 2.6, Apple wants to make sure everything runs as smoothly as possible by introducing a bunch of bug fixes and security patches.
Once this update is installed, you can expect your Vision Pro to function way better than before, and here’s what you have to do in order to install it:
- Wear your Vision Pro and launch the Settings app.
- Now go to General > Software Update.
- When visionOS 2.6 shows up, select Update Now.
The update may take a while to install, so be patience throughout the entire process.
visionOS 2.6 has the build number 22O785.
We are very close to the official release of visionOS 26, which means everyone will get to experience the brand new Spatial Widgets, improved Personas, and native support for 180 content.
Given how advanced the visionOS software already is, it’s very hard to make improvements to make it even better. With features like Mac Virtual Display, now with support for ultra-wide viewing, the Vision Pro is the ultimate way to be productive.
Sadly, it’s one of those products which you have to use in order to appreciate it; otherwise, everyone instantly dismisses it as just another VR headset, though it’s clearly not.
I’m sure a cheaper version of the headset and a far more accessible demo experience by Apple will make it a more desirable category of product. And a lower price too.
