You can download and install the first beta of watchOS 11.6 on your Apple Watch. Here’s how you do it in a few easy steps.
watchOS 11.6 Developer Beta 1 Now Available for Download, Install it Today on Apple Watch
Though our attention is firmly set on watchOS 26 and its Liquid Glass makeover, we can’t forget about watchOS 11 until the end of the year.
Today, the first developer beta of watchOS 11.6 is now available for download, and I’ll show you how you can install it right away.
But wait, let me stop you there for a second, because you should know you cannot downgrade back once you install beta firmware. If you understand the risks, then keep on reading.
Also, you should be signed up to the Apple Developer Program in order to download watchOS 11.6 beta 1. You can sign up here using your Apple Account, and it’s absolutely free.
Once you do that, you have to make sure your Apple Watch is set to receive developer beta updates. Just launch the Watch app on your iPhone, go to General, Software Update, and then tap on Beta Updates.
Select watchOS 11 Developer Beta and the new beta will show right up for download.
Place your Apple Watch on its magnetic charger, and the download will begin immediately. However, the installation may take a while to complete, which is completely normal for watchOS updates.
If there’s anything noteworthy in this update, I will highlight it in a separate list or update this article, if necessary.
