Apple is not going to announce Google Gemini integration in Apple Intelligence at WWDC 2025.

Apple is Going to Skip the Gemini Integration in Apple Intelligence Announcement Completely, but for Good Reason

Probably one of the biggest things AI enthusiasts have been waiting for is the ability to use Gemini instead of ChatGPT on their iPhone, iPad, and Mac.

According to the report by Bloomberg, that might not be happening on Monday. In fact, there won’t be any mention of this integration at WWDC 2025 at all.

The reason is actually pretty interesting and has nothing to do with Apple not reaching an agreement with Google.

The thing is, Google is currently being investigated by the Department of Justice in the United States over the search engine Apple sets as default on its devices. Using Gemini might actually raise more suspicion and more unwanted attention.

I wouldn’t give up hope on this integration completely. There is a chance Apple might just introduce this feature as a software update down the line. If we’re super lucky, it may just happen within a year too.

At this point in time, ChatGPT has become a household name when it comes to AI. Whether or not Gemini comes to iPhone, iPad, or Mac, no one will ever notice it for a long period of time.

Apple is also said to be working hard on its own AI models that are said to be on par with ChatGPT. There is a chance we might lose the ChatGPT integration in favor of Apple’s own AI before Gemini even gets onboard as a choice for users.
