Apple has released developer beta 2 of the new HomePod software update 26. Here’s how to download it right now.

HomePod Software Update 26 Developer Beta 2 Now Available for Download on HomePod and HomePod mini

In all the iOS 26, macOS 26, watchOS 26, visionOS 26, and tvOS 26 noise, Apple has released an update for the HomePod as well.

HomePod software update 26 developer beta 2 is now available for download, and if you decided to test out the software when it first came out, the new beta is available for download over the air right now.

Although the second beta will download and install on its own in the background, thanks to automatic updates, you do have the option to force update on your HomePod. In order to do that, launch the Home app on your iPhone, iPad, or Mac, tap the ‘three dots’ button at the top, go to Home Settings, and then open Software Update.

Anyone can go ahead and download the new update, but do keep in mind you cannot downgrade back to HomePod software update 18 once you do update.

You’ll find all the details about it here.

Whether you should download the update or not depends entirely on you. Since the Apple Developer Program is free, the road to testing beta software just for fun is available for all.
