Apart from iOS 26.2.1 and iPadOS 26.2.1 for iPhone and iPad, Apple has also released watchOS 26.2.1 for Apple Watch. This update adds support for the newly launched AirTag second-generation tracker, allowing users to track their items using Precision Finding right from their wrist.

In order to download the new update, place your Apple Watch on its charger, launch the Watch app on your iPhone, then go to General > Software Update. When you see the new watchOS 26.2.1 update, tap on the Download and Install button underneath.

Apple says the new watchOS 26.2.1 update has the following build number: 23S314

The update may take a while to install especially if you have an older Apple Watch model, so exercise some patience. Once done, you can start using your Apple Watch normally.

Do keep in mind that Precision Finding on Apple Watch is limited to a select few models, which includes the Apple Watch Series 9, Apple Watch Ultra 2 and higher.
