Apple’s new M5 iPad Pro has a new trick up its sleeve – the ability to output to an external display in 4K, that too at 120Hz.

Experience High Refresh Rates on an External Display Using M5 iPad Pro with Support for up to 120Hz at 4K Resolution

I’m not sure if you’re the kind of person who uses an iPad with an external display, but if you do, then the new M5 iPad Pro offers something which no other iPad does.

That is the ability to output to an external display at 4K 120Hz. Not only that, you also get support for 6K output at 60Hz as well. This means you can get something like the Pro Display XDR from Apple and take things to the next level.

Of course, you do need a special USB-C cable to get that done. Apple sells one, or you can just invest in a third-party one that supports 120Hz output at 4K resolution.

I’m glad this feature exists, because the iPad Pro already supports ProMotion 120Hz refresh rate on the built-in display. With 120Hz output supported, you get a far more consistent visual experience. All you have to worry about is having a display that actually supports 120Hz refresh rate.

Apart from the big refresh rate upgrade for external displays, the new iPad Pro also supports 60W fast charging, allowing you to charge from zero to 50% in just 30 minutes.
