Is your Mail app failing to load on iPhone and iPad after installing iOS 18.5? It is an issue, and lots of users are complaining about it.
Mail App Broken on Your iPhone and iPad After Installing iOS 18.5 and iPadOS 18.5? You’re Not Alone
iOS 18.5 and iPadOS 18.5 were released recently with lots of bug fixes and security updates. However, when it comes to the Mail app, things didn’t go smoothly for a lot of users.
According to posts on different social platforms, users are complaining that the Mail app is failing to load after the latest update. Their iPhone or iPad would simply show a white screen and not go any further.
If you restart your iPhone or iPad, the Mail app starts to work normally. But the problem returns after a while.
In some cases, the app might work normally for a while and then suddenly start to show performance issues.
The issue isn’t limited to a particular iPhone or iPad model. However, it is not affecting each and every user either.
I’ve been using the Mail app for a long time and did not notice any issue at all. I have an iPhone and two iPads that I actively use, none of them show any sign of any sort of issue at all. So I guess I got lucky here.
Given Apple’s WWDC 2025 event is set for next week, it remains to be seen when the company is going to patch this issue.
There’s a chance it will release iOS 18.5.1 and iPadOS 18.5.1 in order to fix everything up, unless the issue lies in the backend, which it probably doesn’t because Apple’s status page shows everything is in the green.
