Unlike 7.5W wireless charging on the iPhone 16e, the 17e supports up to 15W speeds and adds support for MagSafe as well.

Apple Listens to Fans and Brings MagSafe and Faster 15W Qi2 Charging to iPhone 17e

If you missed MagSafe on your iPhone 16e, then iPhone 17e makes everything right with the addition of all the magnets that makes the magic of MagSafe possible. This means you can attach all your favorite accessories to the back of your iPhone 17e

With the addition of MagSafe, comes support for faster Qi2 charging as well. Which means instead of being limited to just 7.5W of charging power, the new 17e can charge fast at 15W.

There are a ton of Qi2 chargers to choose from right now, including Apple’s official MagSafe Charger. I will suggest picking up one of those all-in-one chargers if you have an Apple Watch and a pair of AirPods that support wireless charging.

However, if you want to charge faster, then charge using a USB-C cable. Apple says you can charge the iPhone 17e from zero to 50% in just 30 minutes, as long as you’re using a 20W or faster USB-C adapter. In other words, order that Apple 20W charger, or use something from a company like Anker.
