The first iPhone 17e benchmarks have arrived, and they show how good the A19 chip is, and offer performance comparable to the iPhone 17.
iPhone 17e Offers Performance Similar to iPhone 17, Graphics Performance Similar to iPone 16 Pro Max
Powered by the A19 chip, Geekbench 6 benchmarks reveal that the iPhone 17e offers performance similar to Apple’s iPhone 17. The only difference is that the iPhone 17e ships with one less GPU core.
In multi-core benchmarks, the iPhone 17e manages a score of 9,241, while the iPhone 17 achieves exactly the same. However, when you factor in graphics/Metal performance, the iPhone 17e offers a score of 31,500, while the iPhone 17 goes big with 37,000.
Given how great Apple silicon already is, that difference in graphics performance means nothing to the average user. You can completely ignore it and enjoy fantastic performance in daily tasks.
In fact, the iPhone 17e offers graphics performance comparable to last year’s iPhone 16 Pro Max, which secured a Metal score of 32,505, if you love rounding off numbers.
Sure, there’s a difference in numbers, but when you factor in the overall value the iPhone 17e provides compared to the iPhone 17, then it all starts to make perfect sense.
