WWDC26 is now official, and Apple says it will be held between June 8–12, 2026, according to the developer website.
WWDC26 is Now Official – Expect Apple to Announce iOS 27, macOS 27, and More on June 8th
It’s interesting to imagine at this point that WWDC26 is just a couple of months away. According to Apple, the opening keynote will be held on June 8th, and everything will be concluded on the 12th.
Basically, it will be an entire week of software announcements and updates for developers, from developers. Definitely fun!
Apple is going to announce its next-generation software during the week. We can expect a first look at iOS 27, iPadOS 27, macOS 27, watchOS 27, tvOS 27, and of course, visionOS 27.
If recent news and reports are anything to go by, Apple is going to focus a lot on improving existing software, rather than adding a bunch of new features to it. In other words, it’s believed to be a Snow Leopard-style update.
Apple is yet to release the new Siri, even though the necessary partnerships and work have been completed in the background. I’m only going to assume that Apple may use WWDC26 to showcase the new Siri, and hopefully release it later this year.
However, I really want the new Siri to be a part of the iOS 26.5, iPadOS 26.5, and macOS 26.5 updates. It’s been way too long, and patience is definitely getting thinner by the day.
Since Apple has said that it will highlight ‘AI advancements’ during WWDC26, it’s safe to assume that there will be a bunch of Siri and Apple Intelligence in the mix.
Last but not least, Apple is going to live stream the entire event, and says it will have more to share on the official developer website, YouTube, LinkedIn, WeChat, and bilibili in China.
