You can now download iOS 26.4, iPadOS 26.4, macOS 26.4, watchOS 26.4, and tvOS 26.4 public beta 1 on your compatible devices.
You Can Now Download and Install Public Beta 1 of iOS 26.4, iPadOS 26.4, macOS 26.4, watchOS 26.4, and tvOS 26.4
Apple released the first betas of iOS 26.4, iPadOS 26.4, and other platforms yesterday, but for developers only. Today, Apple is releasing the same software updates for public beta testers, and as ever, it doesn’t include visionOS 26.4.
The new public betas include the same changes as the developer beta. There’s a bunch you can expect from iOS 26.4 and iPadOS 26.4 once it is released, and you can read about it here. On macOS 26.4 Tahoe, there are notable changes too, including the ability to set a 80% charge limit on MacBooks.
Prerequisite
In order to download any of the public betas, all you have to do is sign up to the beta.apple.com website using your Apple Account. Once that is done, enable the pubic beta on your device, and you’ll be good to go.
Download iOS 26.4 and iPadOS 26.4 Public Beta
Enable the public beta by going to Settings > General > Software Update > Beta Updates first. Once done, download the version 26.4 public beta from the Software Update section by tapping on the Update Now button.
Download macOS 26.4 Tahoe Public Beta
Enable macOS 26 public beta by going to System Settings > General > Software Update > Beta Updates. Once done, you’ll immediately see the macOS 26.4 public beta under the Software Update section. Click on Update Now to start downloading.
Download watchOS 26.4 Public Beta
Launch the Watch app on your iPhone, then go to General > Software Update > Beta Updates in order to enable the watchOS 26 public beta. Once that is out of the way, download the latest watchOS 26.4 public beta from the Software Update section. Tap on Download and Install if you want to install the update immediately.
Download tvOS 26.4 Public Beta
Enable the tvOS 26 public beta by going to Settings > System > Get Beta Updates. Now simply go to Settings > System > Software Updates > Update Software, and install the tvOS 26.4 public beta.
