Verizon Apologizes for Network Outage in the United States, Offers Free $20 Credit to Users
The Verizon wireless network went down on Wednesday in the United States, with smartphone users, including the iPhone, going offline for a few hours.
Now that the network is completely back online, Verizon is offering everyone free $20 credit to make up for the outage.
In order to get the credit, all you have to do is sign into the My Verizon app. If the credit is available for your account, you should see it immediately. However, Verizon says that it will send you a text message when the $20 credit is ready to be redeemed.
Basically, the My Verizon app is where the magic happens. Make sure you have it downloaded and installed on your iPhone.
