A new report from Weibo says that the iPhone 17e is going into production soon with a Dynamic Island and a slower A19 chip.
iPhone 17e Again Rumored to Feature the Dynamic Island, Will Go into Production Very Soon
It’s hard to tell whether or not the upcoming iPhone 17e will feature the notch or Dynamic Island. But, in all the noise, someone will always reveal new information regarding the smartphone, or recycle something we already know.
Today, Smart Pikachu on Weibo has revealed information that says Apple is going to replace the notch with the Dynamic Island on the iPhone 17e, which is a huge upgrade compared to the iPhone 16e.
The leaker goes on to state that Apple’s new lower-cost iPhone will feature the A19 chip, and it will be slower compared to the one found in the iPhone 17.
Do keep in mind that the iPhone 16e has a slightly ‘slower’ chip too and uses a version of the A18 chip from iPhone 16 with one less GPU core. It’s safe to assume that Apple is going to do the same with the iPhone 17e as well.
Another interesting thing the leaker said is how the new iPhone is going to keep the 6.1-inch display. If you don’t like the 6.3-inch or larger display, then this news should be appealing to you.
Last but not least, the iPhone 17e is said to go into production right after CES 2026.
