The iPhone 18 Pro is set for release later this year, and it will have a Dynamic Island on the top left of the display instead of the center.
Apple is Moving the Dynamic Island to the Top Left of the iPhone 18 Pro Display, Will Feature Under-Display Face ID Sensors
Apple’s upcoming iPhone 18 Pro is said to feature an under-display Face ID sensor and a hole-punch camera. Today, Jon Prosser has shared information regarding the upcoming iPhone 18 Pro and says that Apple is making a big change to the Dynamic Island as well.

He says that since the Face ID sensor is going to be under the display, this doesn’t mean that the hole punch for the camera needs to be in the center. Instead, Apple is going to move it to the left, which means the Dynamic Island is also changing its position and moving to the left as well.
Basically, when you press and hold on the Dynamic Island to view more information, it will pop out of the corner and center itself on the display. Once done, it will go back to the top left.
I’m not even going to pretend that I don’t like this change. The Dynamic Island looks like an eyesore when not in use. If it is turning into a hole punch and moving away from the center, I’m all up for that.
Do take this news with a grain of salt because we’re far away from the launch of the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max. Once we get more reports with further confirmation, we can start to dial up our excitement.
