Apple’s Senior Vice President Hardware Technologies, Johny Srouji, the man behind Apple silicon, isn’t going anywhere.
Rumored to Leave Earlier, the Man Behind Apple Silicon – Johny Srouji – isn’t Going Anywhere
Meta and OpenAI are poaching Apple employees in huge numbers. Even Apple’s design chief Alan Dye is leaving the company later this year and going to Meta.
It was all fun and games until Johny Srouji’s name showed up in a report over the weekend by Bloomberg.
The report said that Apple’s key figure, responsible for all Apple silicon efforts and transition, was planning to leave the company soon.
Where was he planning to go? No one knows. But if your guess is either Meta or OpenAI, then we are all on the same page.
Today, Johny Srouji sent out a memo to his team saying that he’s not going anywhere.
I know you’ve been reading all kind of rumors and speculations about my future at Apple, and I feel that you need to hear from me directly. I am proud of the amazing Technologies we all build across Displays, Cameras, Sensors, Silicon, Batteries, and a very wide set of technologies, across all of Apple Products. Together we enable the best products in the world. I love my team, and I love my job at Apple, and I don’t plan on leaving anytime soon.
There you have it, Apple’s most important man on the team has decided to stay.
