Latest data shows that the iPhone Air has one of the worst resale values after ten weeks of being on sale.

Latest Data from Buyback Companies Show that iPhone Air has Nearly Lost 50% of its Value After Ten Weeks

Pretty much everyone has decided that the iPhone Air is a huge flop, though it is one of the best iPhones to come out of Apple in a long time.

Having said that, the latest data from SellCell shows that the iPhone Air has lost nearly 50% (47.7% to be exact) of its resale value after being on sale for ten weeks.

The data reveals that the iPhone 17 lineup has lost an average value of just 34.6% in ten weeks. The iPhone 15, on the other hand, only lost 31.9% of its value in ten weeks, making it one of the best-performing iPhones in recent times when it comes to value retention.

A breakdown of the numbers shows that the iPhone Air has lost a value of between 40% and 47.7%, with the 1TB model losing the most value in a ten-week time period.

Such low levels of resale were last seen in the iPhone 13 mini days, and the iPhone 14 Plus.

Basically, stuff loses value over time, and similar things have been happening in the past when it comes to iPhone. Why does that even come as a surprise?
