Apple released iOS 26.3 and iPadOS 26.3 beta 1 a while ago, and it comes with two extremely important changes for iPhone and iPad.

iOS 26.3 and iPadOS 26.3 Beta Includes new ‘Transfer to Android’ and ‘Notification Forwarding’ Feature

Every new iOS and iPadOS update includes a set of important changes and features, and the new 26.3 update is no different at all. In fact, I’ll call it one of the most important updates in a long time for iPhone and iPad users.

Why is it important? Because Apple is making transferring to Android extremely important for iPhone and iPad users. This means switching to the other platform is way easier than before, and it is now a built-in feature instead of an app.

“Transfer to Android”

The new feature can be found in Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone/iPad. Over here you’ll see a new button called ‘Transfer to Android.’ Once you press it, your iPhone and iPad will walk you through the process of bringing your devices close, and will also explain what will be transferred and what won’t be.

The thing I love about this feature is how it is available on iPad as well. If you are moving from an iPad to some other tablet, you can move your files and settings in a breeze.

Notification Forwarding

Apple has included a new option in iOS 26.3 beta that is called ‘Notification Forwarding.’ It allows you to forward all notifications to a third-party device, and once enabled, you won’t receive notifications on your Apple Watch.

It is highly likely that this feature exists in order to make third-party wearables work better with iPhone much better, and I highly welcome it, especially if you are using something like Garmin or maybe thinking about getting a Pixel Watch.
