After testing the ESR 3-in-1 Magnetic Charging Station for a few days, it’s safe to say it’s the best charger you can get for iPhone Air.

iPhone Air Owners, the ESR 3-in-1 Magnetic Charging Station Solves All Your Wireless Charging Needs

I’ve been using a couple of Qi2 wireless chargers from different brands to charge up my iPhone Air, Apple Watch Ultra, and AirPods Pro 2. So far, these chargers have served me well and there’s nothing extraordinary about them.

However, when I came across the new Qi2.2-capable ESR 3-in-1 Magnetic Charging Station, a small feature made this my go-to instantly.

Qi2.2 and 20W Fast Charging for iPhone

First of all, it’s Qi2.2, which means the iPhone Air can charge at speeds of up to 20W. Yes, that’s slightly faster than using a cable since the iPhone Air maxes out at 18W.

A jump from Qi2 to Qi2.2 is definitely noticeable, especially when taking into account the next thing ESR has done in order to maintain fast charging speeds.

CryoBoost (This is it)

Don’t let the marketing term fool you, because CryoBoost is an active cooling system (read: fan) built inside the charger that keeps a connected iPhone cool.

Whenever you put the iPhone on charge, the fan automatically turns on, and you’ll notice that your iPhone charges slightly faster because of that. This is the feature I’m absolutely in love with.

You can actually feel the airflow around the iPhone if you bring your hand close to it.

A regular charger will start throttling speeds when temperatures start to go up. Thanks to that fan, your iPhone will fly all the way to 80% without slowing down.

Interestingly, there’s a button at the base which allows you to turn the fan and the cool-looking light ring off.

Not sure why you’d want to do that, but it’s there.

Fast Charging for Apple Watch

The Apple Watch charger supports fast charging too. Allowing you to go from zero to 50% in 30 minutes, which is great, especially if you have sleep tracking enabled on Apple Watch and want to top up the battery before going to sleep.

You can actually remove the Apple Watch charger if you like. It connects to the charging stand using a USB-C port, and it’s sturdy enough to hold the weight of an Apple Watch Ultra.

An Unmissable Spot for AirPods

The AirPods wireless charging spot is right at the foot of the charging station, and you can’t miss it even if you tried. Because it has a nice AirPods shaped outline that ensures you put your earbuds in the right place every single time.

Don’t Worry, it Comes with a Charger

ESR ships the charging stand with a 50W USB-C charger and cable. Even if you are not using the charging stand, you can just use the power adapter and cable on its own too.

I’ve Finally Found it

Exclusively using wireless charging is not for everyone, because compared to a cable, it is slow. But CryoBoost fixes that problem, and ensures you get a faster charging experience, and I can’t dispute ESR’s promise on that front at all, because it actually works.

In fact, if you want to believe ESR’s marketing material, it says it offers heat reduction of up to 10.8 degrees Fahrenheit.

While I see this charger from the perspective of an iPhone Air user, you’ll get more out of this charger if you have an iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, or iPhone 17 Pro Max, since these models support up to 25W of charging speeds.

Pricing and Availability

This is the kind of product that deserves to be on everyone’s desk and bedside table. The ESR 3-in-1 Magnetic Charging Station is available to buy right now for a price of $110. A little steep, I know. But you’ll come across a discount coupon every now and then for it anyway.

It is available in white and black, and you can buy it straight from Amazon using this link.
