visionOS 26.2 Now Available for Download on Vision Pro with New Features and Improvements
It’s been a week since Apple released the RC version of visionOS 26.2 to developers. What this means is, the full and final version of the update is now available to download right now for everyone with a Vision Pro.
Whether it’s the original Vision Pro headset with M2, or the latest one with M5, the update is available to download for both headsets.
The steps for downloading the update is exactly the same on both headsets, and this is what you have to do in order to make sure the visionOS 26.2 update installs as smoothly as possible:
- Even if your Vision Pro has 100% battery, make sure it’s connected to a power source anyway.
- Launch the Settings app.
- Now go to General > Software Update.
- Let Software Update refresh, and you’ll see visionOS 26.2 in a bit. Install it the moment it becomes available.
The new visionOS 26.2 update has the following build number: 23N301
Once the installation begins, the screen will go back, and that’s the time you take off the headset and put it to the side and let it install the update.
You can start using your Vision Pro normally once the installation is complete. But do give the update to settle down, which means your Vision Pro may feel a little slow, warm, and offer slightly less battery life.
