The Apple AirTag 2 is just around the corner, and a new report sheds light on the features that are coming with the new item tracker.
Improved Range to Better Tracking in Crowded Spaces, the AirTag 2 is Set to be a Big Upgrade
When it comes to AirTag 2, a little bit is known about it already. For example, several reports say that it will offer improved range compared to the current model. But what else is coming with it?
A new report by Macworld talks about five features that are coming to the new AirTag tracker, and there’s a lot to look forward to here.
First of all, the new AirTag is said to feature a pairing process that is an improvement compared to the current one. Rather surprising given how easy it is to set up an AirTag already.
Secondly, Precision Finding will see an upgrade. Not sure in what way, but if it increases the accuracy of the item tracker, I’m sold already.
It has been previously reported that the new AirTag will feature enhanced battery alerts, and that too is also mentioned in the new report.
The new AirTag seems to improve on tracking while it is on the move. It’s unclear in what way, but it will come in handy.
Last but not least, the new AirTag is said to offer better tracking in an extremely crowded space.
There’s no word on when Apple will launch the new AirTag, even though it has been previously rumored to launch this year. And while 2025 hasn’t come to an end, Apple might still launch it silently in the coming days.
