Web activity logs reveal that Apple is working on a new iPhone update – iOS 26.0.2. It’s just a bug and security-fix update.

Apple is Currently Working on and Testing iOS 26.0.2 Update for iPhone and iPad, Likely Coming Soon for Download

Initial release of any major software release is going to be buggy one way or the other, and iOS 26.0 and iPadOS 26.0 wasn’t any different. While iOS 26.0.1 and iPadOS 26.0.1 were released a while back to fix most issues, but many still remain for iPhone and iPad users.

Now, MacRumors is reporting that its web activity logs have visits from iPhones running iOS 26.0.2. At this point, it’s safe to assume that this new update is a bug-fix release. And it will highly likely ship with security fixes as well. You know, the important stuff.

While iOS 26.0.1 and iPadOS 26.0.1 do fix a lot of issues with iPhone and iPad, a lot of users are still complaining about poor battery life. Not only that, Apple’s new Adaptive Power feature isn’t working as intended for many users either, that includes me as well.

Whenever I turn on Adaptive Power, it will do nothing for my iPhone, and suddenly, I will notice a huge drop in performance, making my iPhone completely unusable, forcing me to restart it.

Basically, it’s doing more harm than good at this point. But I’m sure Apple is going to tweak it further to make it work properly across the board. Hopefully, iOS 26.0.2 will be that update.

When will Apple release iOS 26.0.2 is anyone’s guess at this point. There is a chance the release may happen within a couple of weeks, and if we’re really lucky, we might see it tomorrow, which happens to be a Monday, at the time of writing this.
