Apple’s rumored MacBook that is going to be powered by an iPhone chip is going into mass production soon, according to a new report.

MacBook Powered by Apple’s iPhone Chip is Going into Mass Product in Q4 of 2025

This is the second part of the report Ming-Chi Kuo published on X. The first one talked about the OLED MacBook Pro that will also include a touch-screen panel.

The second part is my favorite part.

According to the second part of the report, Apple’s rumored MacBook that is going to be powered by an iPhone-class chip is going into mass product in the fourth quarter of this year.

In case you’re wondering, that quarter starts on the 1st of October and ends on December 31st. That’s not too far from now.

The report talks about how the new MacBook won’t include a touch-screen display, but apparently, for the second-generation model, the feature is under discussion and may make it to the final product.

While this may sound like an excellent piece of news, Apple’s cheap MacBook getting a touch-screen display, but it puts the iPad lineup in a strange position.

I am assuming that the touch-screen part of the Mac is going to work in a few areas only, and may be limited intentionally. This is just speculation, and I’m sure more details about this will emerge in time to come.

Coming back to the MacBook with the iPhone chip, previous reports say it will be powered by the A18 Pro. Given that the A19 now exists, I wonder if Apple goes with the newer chip instead of the older one.

Usually, Apple has a huge parts bin, and I won’t be surprised if the company has way too many A18 and A18 Pro chips lying around too. After all, the outgoing chips are also going to be a part of the future iPad lineup, such as the iPad mini.
