The super-thin iPhone Air survived the JerryRigEverything bend test, but what does it take to bend the phone anyway?

JerryRigEverything Bend Test Shows How Robust the iPhone Air Actually is

Even with 130 pounds of force applied on the iPhone Air, the phone snaps back into its original shape when the pressure is released. That’s according to Apple’s own bend test.

JerryRigEverything took matters into his own hands and decided to bend the iPhone Air himself. The result? It only bends slightly and returns to its original shape, just like Apple’s test.

But, how much force does it actually take to break the iPhone Air into half? The video goes into that as well, and surprisingly, it takes too much force. A little too much, in fact.

You really need to bring in machines and pulleys to break this thing into half. Apple has absolutely nailed the engineering on this one.

If you were worried about bending the iPhone Air by accident, just like the iPhone 6 Plus, you don’t have to worry about that here at all. The titanium frame is more than up for the job to keep the thin iPhone in shape.
