Here’s how you can force restart an iPhone Air, iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, or the iPhone 17 Pro Max in a few easy steps.
iPhone Air, iPhone 17, or iPhone 17 Pro Suddenly Not Responding? Force Restart it in a Matter of Seconds
If you just bought one of the new iPhones, I’m sure you’re discovering interesting ways to use it, especially if you are coming from another platform.
And just like any other smartphone, the iPhone is prone to app crashes and the occasional glitching out, forcing you to restart it.
However, restarting an iPhone is not a straightforward process and requires the user to press a series of button combinations.
If you own the iPhone Air, iPhone 17, or the iPhone 17 Pro, I’ll show you how to force restart it in just a few seconds.
Step 1. Press the Volume Up button and let go.
Step 2. Press the Volume Down button and let go.
Step 3. Press and hold the Power button until you see the Apple logo on the screen and then let go.
In the last step, you’ll likely see the ‘Slide to power down’ screen, and then the screen will go completely black, and then you will see the Apple logo. The point is to not let go of the Power button until you see the Apple logo; otherwise, you have to start from step 1.
Believe it or not, the process to force restart an iPhone is exactly the same across the board. Whether it’s an older model or something from the recent lineup, you now know how to force restart it in case something goes wrong.
Force restarting an iPhone comes in handy in a lot of scenarios, especially if your iPhone starts to feel slow. Just give it a restart, and it will immediately flush the RAM and improve the performance.
Not only that, it may even fix Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and cellular related issues as well. It’s worth doing before you attempt to clear your network settings.
