Apple has just released tvOS 26.0.1 for Apple TV and it brings a handful of bug fixes to the table, therefore download it immediately.
tvOS 26.0.1 is Now Ready for Download with Bug Fixes and Other Important Fixes for Apple TV
tvOS 26.0.1 was definitely coming at one point in time, and today is that day. While the initial tvOS 26.0 update was very smooth to begin with, there’s always a bug or two that managed to ship past Apple’s watchful eye.
What I mean to say is, you should download the tvOS 26.0.1 update immediately on your Apple TV, regardless of which model you currently have. In order to do that, just launch the Settings app, go to System, then open Software Updates, then open Update Software Update.
According to Apple, the new tvOS 26.0.1 update has the following build number: 23J362
When the new update shows up, download it immediately. Also make sure that you do not turn off your TV or play around with the Siri Remote when the update is in process.
Once the installation is complete, you can either continue watching your favorite TV show, or just power everything off, knowing your tvOS experience now more bug-free than before.
At the time of writing, tvOS 26.1 is also available for developers and public beta testers.
