The new Apple Watch Series 11 is just around the corner, and a couple of bits of information have surfaced regarding its features.

Apple Watch Series 11 is Coming Next Week with Two Important Features – Brighter Display and 5G Cellular Connectivity

According to a report by Bloomberg, the Apple Watch Series 11 is coming alongside the iPhone 17 next week. And, in terms of design, nothing is changing, and it will be similar to the Series 10, which was released last year.

But, the thing that is definitely changing is the display. The new one is said to be way brighter than the current one, once again improving outdoor performance over its predecessor.

The Series 11 will be powered by the new S11 chip, and it will include a new modem by MediaTek, which will bring 5G support to the wearable for the first time.

Do keep in mind that it’s 5G RedCap, not the full-blown 5G we use on our iPhones and iPads. RedCap is meant for small and IoT devices.

These are very interesting changes to Apple Watch, especially the inclusion of 5G. Apple has been using LTE in its cellular Apple Watch for a long time, and the shift to 5G means the company is set to adopt the standard more widely in its product lineup.
