Apple has officially announced the release date of tvOS 26 update for the Apple TV, and it will be available on the 15th of September.

If you’ve been waiting for Liquid Glass to arrive on your Apple TV, the date when that officially happens is 15th of September, which happens to be next Monday.
However, Apple has published the Release Candidate build of tvOS 26 to developers and public beta testers today, which is potentially the final version of the software.
If no bugs or issues are found in tvOS 26 RC, the same build will be released to everyone next week.
You can just go ahead and download the update by simply signing up for the public beta. If there is any issue in the update at all, you will get a new build to download next Monday, which is usually a small bug fix release.
