Apple’s super-thin iPhone 17 Air is set to get a very thin battery too, as revealed by a leaked photo posted online.

iPhone 17 Air to Feature Slim 2.49mm Thick Battery with Capacity Under 3,000mAh

We usually don’t think about it, but when our gadgets shrink or slim down, the components inside them get dramatically smaller too.

Same is the case with the iPhone 17 Air, and a photo posted online by account yeux1122 on Naver shows that the smartphone is set to get a very thin battery as well.

The battery is also compared to that of the iPhone 17 Pro, and you can clearly see that it’s half the size. Absolutely crazy.

The account says that the iPhone 17 Air battery will be 2.49mm thick, and latest information says that this iPhone will have a battery capacity under the 3,000mAh mark.

While this is an epic feat of engineering, do keep in mind that the iPhone 17 Air won’t have stellar battery life. Apple is heavily going to rely on software features to make sure the smartphone lasts the entire day, or at least most of it.

Whether that feature is the Adaptive Power battery-saving mode in iOS 26 or something else remains to be seen.

No matter how you slice it, battery life is going to be a genuine concern among users. But, I have this feeling Apple has figured this one out somehow, otherwise it won’t go ahead with such a slim iPhone.
